DMCA Policy and Procedures
If your content appears on Only Gay Stars without your permission, tell us and we will remove it.
How to request removal
- Find the content. Open each video on Only Gay Stars that uses your work and copy the link from your browser (it looks like
https://onlygaystars.com/watch/?v=…). - Send us the request at [email protected] with the subject DMCA removal request. Include the links, what the original work is (and a link to it if it is public), your full name and email, and a sentence saying that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them and that the information is accurate.
- We remove it. We review every request within 2 business days and reply to tell you when the content is gone.
If you are writing on behalf of the copyright owner (an agency or a lawyer, for example), say so and attach proof that you are authorised to act for them.
What happens next
If the request is valid we remove the content and let you know. If it was uploaded by a member, we tell them it was removed and why. Members who repeatedly upload content that is not theirs lose their account.
If your content was removed by mistake
If a video you uploaded was removed and you believe it was a mistake, write to [email protected] with the subject DMCA counter-notice and include:
- the link to the removed video, and why you believe it was removed by mistake;
- your full name, postal address, phone number and email;
- this statement, followed by your full name as signature: “Under penalty of perjury, I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification. I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where my address is located (or, if it is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Only Gay Stars may be found), and I will accept service of process from the person who requested the removal.”
We send your counter-notice to the person who requested the removal. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started a court action, we may put the video back within 10 to 14 business days.
False claims
Only the copyright owner, or someone authorised to act for them, may request a removal. Knowingly false requests or counter-notices can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), and we ignore requests from anyone who cannot show they own or represent the work.
